How to open your Heart - PRINTABLE

Since I was a child, I was told that I was too sensitive so I learned how to keep my heart protected with a huge concrete wall. Now I am on the process of knocking down that armor. Every morning when I sit to meditate in my bed or outside watching the sunrise, I first check in how my heart is feeling. When I feel it closed or locked, I focus on one (or more) of these 6 things during my day:⠀

✷ FREE FLOW OF ENERGY: Is enough energy reaching my heart? Are my thighs open? Are my first three chakras in balance? If my body is feeling too dense, I like massaging my body with TuneUp balls or practicing a yummy Yin Yoga class (or a dance party!).⠀

✷ EMBRACE THE PAIN: If I am feeling some dense emotions in my chest, the most soothing thing is to just sit with that emotion and FEEL IT. I don't try to make it disappear. I observe it and let it speak to me. Remember: you have to feel to heal.⠀

✷ CRYSTALS: The easiest way of all. I like to grab my pendulum and ask it which crystal would help me heal that day.⠀

✷ APPRECIATE BEAUTY: I am sure we can all relate to that. Seeing beauty has an instant effect in my heart, so I like to spend more time in nature and less time in my head.⠀

✷ ELEVATED EMOTIONS: Lately I've been practicing this method I didn't know before. I close my eyes and light up in my heart emotions like gratitude, love, compassion, peace, joy or bliss. Then I try to bring back that emotion during the day as often as possible. As simple as it sounds.⠀

✷ YOGA ASANAS: I try to practice heart-opening postures every damn day. My chest used to be very closed and my shoulders tight af. Now that I feel it more open, I can make my heart shine more easily.⠀
